- Mr HAI Cụt was a virtuous and humanist Great-Master taking up residence in Cẫm-Thượng village. He must owed his fame to the Art of wielding battle-staff with which sometime he destroyed ferocious tigers for coming to village's assistance. Nowadays, in addition to the 24 techniques of Battle Staff, the Sa-Long-Cương School System still preserve Coded Sequences Codées of Battle Staff Drill such as :
01. Codified Sequence of Battle-Staff Wielding «Roi Lâm» (the manuscript with coded lines of verse of which is lost) ;
02. Codified Sequence of «Roi Phượng-Hoàng» (the manuscript with coded lines of verse of which is lost) ;
03. Codified Sequence of Battle-Staff Wielding «Trung-Bình-Tiên» (30 coded lines of verse, 124 characters) ;
04. Codified Sequence of Battle-Staff Wielding «Tam-Bộ Bình-Tiên» (24 coded lines of verse, 96 characters) ;
05. Codified Sequence of Short Battle-Staff Wielding « Đoản-Tiên » (13 coded lines of verse, 53 characters) ;

07. Codified Sequence of Long Battle-Staff Wielding «Trường-Tiên Thần-Đồng» (26 coded lines of verse, 182 characters).
- Mr TRƯƠNG-Trạch belonged to Trương family in which the Founder-Ancestor was Mr Trương-Đức-Thường who left Thanh-Hà, province of Hải-Dương to go clearing, about the year 1605, the lands of de Tú-Dương region ( district of Mỹ-Hiệp), province of Bình-Định. Afterwards, this Ancestor took up residence in the Phú-Thiện hamlet, from Mỹ-Hòa town, district of Phù-Mỹ, province of Bình-Định, until that day. According to the genealogy kept by Trương family, the latter include several accomplished Men of Letters and Warriors.
Since the generation of Mr TRƯƠNG-Đức-Giai, this one passed Military Examination and Literary Examination at the same time, and was Mandarin under Nguyễn Dynasty (1802-1945).

( Photos Credit : Master Nguyễn Phi-Long - BĐ SLC VN )
According to documents of Master Nguyễn Phi Long (SLC VN) photographied from the archives of Mr Trương Đức Hồng - chieftain of actually TRƯƠNG family - that was precisely Mr TRƯƠNG-Đức-Giai who had writen up a « Treatise on Martial Arts » including 26 pages in which were copied fifteen Coded Martial Poems in chinese « Han » characters, and two in demotic characters « Nôm » (while the following pages were, sadly, lost because teared up or riped and therefore illegible) :

Later, since the generation of Mr TRƯƠNG-Đức-Lân, Mr TRƯƠNG-Trạch, the latter had all passed Military Examination.
- Mr ĐINH-Cát was the one of famous generallissimo descendants of Tây-Sơn Dynasty (1788-1802) of Quang-Trung Nguyễn-Huệ Emperor. Since the Nguyễn Dynasty (1802-1945) period, his family had must changed provisionally his family Name ĐINH into family Name ĐÀO for becoming ĐÀO-Văn-Cát (do'nt confuse him with the Martial Arts Master from the name Nguyễn Văn Cát living in South Việt-Nam and whom Alias is Ba-Cát) in order to avoid the revenge of NGUYỄN government henchmen. Among the « bài Thảo or Codified Sequences » he had handed down, we can quote :
01. Codified Sequence of Battle-Staff Drill Wielding « Ngũ-Môn » (25 coded lines of verse, 177 characters) ;
02. Codified Sequence of Battle-Staff Drill Wielding « Ô-Du Tấn-Nhất » (8 coded lines of verse, 56 characters) ;

(*According to the document of bygonedays from SA-LONG-CƯƠNG Martial Drill Hall of Grand Master TRƯƠNG Thanh Đăng, Mr ĐINH-Cát had must changed provisionally his Family Name ĐINH into Family Name NGUYỄN for becoming Nguyễn-Văn-Cát. But nowadays, by comparison with genealogical document of ĐINH Family, we know that Mr ĐINH-Cát, son of Mr ĐINH Văn Thứ, had must changed provisionally his Family Name ĐINH into Family Name ĐÀO for becoming Đào Văn Cát.)
Since these Three Origin Martial Arts Lineages of illustrious Grand-Masters, Mr HAI Cụt, Mr TRƯƠNG-Trạch, and Mr ĐINH-Cát don't have any more successors for perpetuating the Family Tradition of Martial Arts, by consequent the Cultural Heritage of Bình-Định Martial Arts Studies from Trương Thanh Đăng's Martial Arts Lineage needs truthly a rigourous conservation and restoration.
However, the School System of Martial Arts Lineage from TRƯƠNG Thanh Đăng in nowadays, throughout the declaimed name of Bình-Định Sa-Long-Cương, has integrated in his Teaching Programme too several Codified Sequences not compatible with Traditionel Martial Arts of Bình-Định. For this reaison, we very need to have a judgment based on a truth clearsighted knoweledge of codified Sequences having to be rejected and eliminated and those needing an appropiated restoration.
